MAKING A DIFFERENCE
A SET OF SKILLS THAT CHANGE LIVES
Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), is a study of excellence which incorporates Personal development and Communication. You could say that by learning more about NLP you will open up your own experience of the world, and then go on to appreciate just how others interpret their ‘model of world’ – two very different experiences.
NLP is a way of thinking; an attitude of curiosity, learning and respect of others. It is the practice of understanding how individuals do what they do, by that we mean think, feel, behave and what results they produce. NLP comes from three different disciplines, all of which are used and explored throughout our NLP Training Courses.
This refers to the nervous system and our brain. Our first mental map of the world consists of internal pictures/images, sounds, feelings, tastes and smells that form the neurological filtering process. This is how we present ourselves via our 5 senses:
- Linguistic (Language)
Linguistic refers to the way we use language, both our verbal and non-verbal communication to express our experiences and communicate with others. Our representations are coded, ordered and provide meaning within brain, examples of these representations are:
- Self-Talk (Words
- Programming (Outcomes)
To put it simply this is a sequence of coded instructions which are determined by both our Neurology, Linguistic (language) and sensory representations. Resulting in the patterns we run and the outcomes that these patterns produce, which is what we and others may describe as behaviours.
NLP is a logical, no-nonsense school of thought – a theory of knowledge – that concentrates on the many levels of being human. NLP is described as a multi-dimensional development that focuses on behavioural aptitude and individual flexibility, strategic thinking and understanding the mental and cognitive processes which create specific behaviours in people. NLP Training offers tools and techniques for the personal development of individuals and groups that sort change and excellent results; uncovering the resources and systems to promote empowering beliefs and pre-suppositions within each of us, so that we learn what communication really is and how to process change effectively.
Taking this further, NLP offers a path of self-discovery, the opportunity to explore and renew your identity and with purpose. Learning NLP will provide you with a framework for which looks outside yourself so you begin relating to family, friends, community and global systems. NLP will offer a vision and platform to set goals and achieve them.
How Can We Use NLP?
The theory, techniques and skills of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) are widely used across many applications. We communicate verbally and none verbally in everything we do, so having this awareness in your day to day life will enhance the way you communicate and connect with others.
