NLP Therapy – Depression

Is depression affecting your quality of life
Are you finding that life is a struggle; that one day just seems to blend into another; that you are stuck and that the happiness you deserve seems faint and distant.
Depression is a commonly diagnosed mental condition in the 21st Century. It can take many forms and can range from mild to severe.
Depression is a serious illness; it is not something you have made up in your head so you should take the signs very seriously. It can slowly creep up on you and before you know it you are feeling low and hopeless for weeks on end. It can affect people for years if they don’t take action and do something to fight back.
Depression is often triggered by a traumatic event and can take you on a downward spiral.
If you are feeling depressed you should see your doctor. For some people a programme of medication will help, however some people do not want to take medication or have maybe taken it for a while and are now looking for something else to further improve their situation .
One thing to realise right now, is that by reading this you are already taking the first few steps to eliminating those feelings for good. It is time for you to take back control of your life, and regain those happier times that you deserve.
Why use NLP to deal with depression
NLP is a talk therapy that allows you to explore your problem, uncover the root cause and then use the appropriate change techniques to deal with it. An NLP based therapeutic approach has a deeper and more changing effect on peoples thinking and unconscious behavioural patterns than other talk therapy approaches. The process can be likened to stripping layers of paint, as the therapist works sensitively to understand you and how you do your problem.
What is NLP Therapy
Our approach works on the basis that everyone is different. Everyone has been on their own unique journey through life and though we may often have problems that present in similar ways the causes can be different. So the approach is unique and personal. From the clients perspective the process is very simple; you need to be honest with yourself and your therapist and as far as you are able to follow instructions. Typically a first session of two to three hours will be conducted, the purpose of which is to uncover how you do your particular problem. This session will explore your past life and current situation and problems. From this a plan as to what therapeutic interventions are required will be determined. This is a process of understanding the present in the context of past so that unwanted patterns or behaviours can be let go or changed. As a general guide from start to finish you should expect therapy to last for six to nine hours in total.
Imagine what it would be like to
