NLP Therapy – Anger

Anger is bad for your body

Several studies have now shown a causal link between holding on to the feelings and thoughts of anger to higher cholesterol and a greater incidence of heart disease.   Not only is it bad for your health it can also have a corrosive effect on your interpersonal relationships. Many people think that anger serves them; let us be clear, anger is counter-productive.  You can still assert your own needs without it.angry woman

Why use NLP to let go of anger

NLP is a psychological understanding of people and promotes results within life ecologically.  Using an NLP approach we understand that feeling negative emotions, like anger is OK.  Experiencing these emotions is a natural part of life.  One often feels anger because someone else does something that you would not do yourself, a violation of your values.  Using the techniques of NLP, Time Line Therapy™ and Hypnosis our approach is to help you let go of anger from the past so that in the future you only feel anger when it is appropriate to do so. In this way you become more resilient in your life allowing you to improve your relationships.

What can I expect?

Our approach works on the basis that everyone is different.  Everyone has been on their own unique journey through life and though we may often have problems that present in similar ways the causes can be different.   So the approach is unique and personal.  From the clients perspective the process is very simple; you need to be honest with yourself and your therapist and as far as you are able to follow instructions.  Typically a first session of two to three hours will be conducted, the purpose of which is to uncover how you do your particular problem.  This session will explore your past life and current situation and problems.  From this a plan as to what therapeutic interventions are required will be determined.  This is a process of understanding the present in the context of past so that unwanted patterns or behaviours can be let go or changed.  As a general guide from start to finish you should expect therapy to last for six to nine hours in total.
