Why Choose NLP Therapy

Change is easier than you think.  Using the tools of NLP, Time Line Therapy™ and Hypnosis our therapists offer people the opportunity for real change.  What is different about an NLP based approach is that the therapist has the tools to help you create new patterns of thinking within your unconscious mind.  An NLP therapist is trained to uncover and deal with the root of your problem.  Much like a dandelion, if you just pull off the leaves it will grow back but if you are able to pull out the root the dandelion won’t grow back.nlp therapy main picture

Many of the clients that we have worked with have come to NLP after other therapeutic approaches have been unable to help them to make the change that they want to make.

The sorts of problems that NLP Therapy works well with can be specifically things like confidence building, weight loss, smoking, stress reduction, fears and phobias, irritable bowel syndrome, obsessive compulsive disorder, presenting, anger issues, relationship issues and depression.  Whatever the presenting problem may be you can summarise the problem as being “My life is not turning out the way I wanted it to.”  If this is you then NLP Therapy can help.

What is NLP Therapy?

NLP was developed by understating how people who had overcome various psychological problems had actually achieved those results.  The learning from that has then been codified so that more and more people are now able to achieve simply outstanding results.

NLP works with a simple model of conscious and unconscious thinking and patterns.  One of the assumptions on which it is based is that to achieve change one needs to get change at the unconscious level.  By achieving that, real and fast change is possible.

In undertaking NLP Therapy it is important to understand the past because the past is how you have managed to get to where you are now.  However, it is not necessary to wallow in the past or in the problem.  What is necessary, is to understand how you do your problem so that it can then be undone.

What can I expect?

Our overpinning approach is that everyone is different.  Everyone has been on their own unique journey through life and though we may often have problems that present in similar ways the causes can be different.   So the approach is unique and personal.  From the clients perspective the process is very simple; you need to be honest with yourself and your therapist and as far as you are able to follow process.  Typically a first session of two to three hours will be conducted, the purpose of which is to uncover how you do your particular problem.  This session will explore your past  and present situation and problems.  From this a plan as to what therapeutic interventions are required will be determined.  This is a process of understanding the present in the context of past so that unwanted patterns or behaviours can be let go or changed.  Although certain specific problems such as smoking or phobias can be handled in a few hours, as a general guide from start to finish you should expect therapy to last for six to nine hours in total.
